Biloxi & Gulfport, MS – June Fishing Report

Welcome back, Mississippi Gulf Coast Sportsman!

Summer is rolling in, and the Mississippi Sound is alive with action. Stable weather and warm water have ignited the bite across the barrier islands, piers, and deeper structures offshore.

Inshore Action

Redfish are cruising the shallows around Cat and Horn Island. Sight-fishing with gold spoons or shrimp under corks has produced consistent action. Speckled Trout are stacked near the marshy points and deeper ledges — early mornings and moving tides are key.
Expect Flounder near drop-offs and sandy cuts, especially around Bay St. Louis. Live finger mullet and Gulp! baits are your best bet.

Nearshore & Offshore Bite

Tripletail are making a strong showing around buoys and crab trap markers — always keep a rod ready with a live shrimp for surprise ambushes. Cobia and Spanish Mackerel are running just off the beaches and islands. Red Snapper season is open, and the bite is aggressive on the deeper rigs and artificial reefs. You’ll also find Mingos, Grouper, and the occasional Amberjack if you venture a bit farther.

Beaches & Piers

The piers along Gulfport and Biloxi are producing Pompano, Whiting, and the occasional Redfish. For the best results, use double-drop rigs tipped with shrimp or Fishbites. Shark fishing from the beach is still a draw — especially in the evenings. Fresh-cut bait and a steady tide will get you connected.

Final Word

The Mississippi Gulf Coast is teed up for a fantastic summer of fishing. Book your trip now and experience Southern hospitality and hot bites rolled into one.
